On the morning of Tuesday, February 13, 2024, Michael James Henby, age 37, passed away peacefully in Midlothian, VA.
Michael was born on July 11, 1986 in Houston, TX. He was the third child, and second son, of Carol (Denby) and Steven Henby. He was a 2009 graduate of MTI tech school in Houston. After obtaining his high school diploma, he worked as a server at Chuys until he began working for Versa Integrity in 2016, where he quickly progressed to Level 3. He flourished in this position before switching to Wind Turbines, where he worked until his seizures would no longer allow him to continue. Michael then worked with his father in Kansas, freelancing for Field Nation, before moving to Midlothian, VA to work for his brother's company Next Day Access, providing age in place and mobility services.
Even as a child, Michael was a builder. He would take things apart and put them back together for hours. He loved being at the beach and swimming; and was even on the swim team as a child. Michael was full of life; loved spending time with his friends, playing pool, and could be very competitive. Although he never married, Michael always dreamed of having a family and loved to spend time with his nephews. We deeply miss our troublemaker with a huge heart!
Michael is survived by his Dad, Steven (Rose); siblings Jesse (Lauren), Sarah (Trevor), Luke ; his nephews, Devin, Dustin, Avery, Ethan, Foster, and Cannon.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 3 at Affinity Funeral Service – Richmond Chapel 2720 Enterprise

Richmond, Virginia 23294. A service will follow at 10 a.m in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.
