Of Amherst, entered into rest December 15, 2025. beloved husband of Joanne (nee LaRussa) Schmidt; devoted father of Angela Schmidt and Tristine (Robert) Seitz; Cherished grandfather of Robert and Thomas Seitz; loving son of Marie (nee Corsi) and the late Henry Schmidt; dear brother of Henry (Carol) Schmidt and Mary Grace (Michael) Welch; also survived by relatives and friends. No prior visitation. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr., Amherst on Friday (12/19) at 9:30 o'clock (please assemble at church). Interment Holy Sepluchre Cemetery. Donations may be made in Michael's memory to Tunnels to Towers.
