Dear family:
I'm joining others in expressing my sincere condolences for your loss. Your husband was a talented writer, who knew how to bring to life history and stories in his writings...I know that the loss of a loved one is something difficult to deal with, may our Heavenly Father extent to you and your family of His strength and comfort to help you endure your grief - He is our Stronghold in times like these... Please accept my condolences.

To the family of Michael Herr....I attended Nottingham High School with
"Mickey" and I remember him as a natural
comedian. He would get on the school's
p-a system in the morning and imitate
Arthur Godfrey!

I first met Mickey in 1951 when
we were members of the Syracuse University Drama Department's
Children's theater.
I played Pinocchio and he played
an indian chief. His younger brother
was also with us.

As an Army veteran, I knew where
he was coming from in his writings.

My deepest condolences to the family of a wonderful human being.

We are very thankful to Michael Herr for enlightening us and informing us of what really was happening during the Vietnam War. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, and may the peace of God that surpasses all understanding be with them as each person faces everyday life without him. He will be missed!
