Preceded in death by parents, Frank & Mary Herrick; son, Jeffrey Herrick; grandson, Michael Morgan; brother, Bill Herrick; sisters, Arlene Meier, Theresa DuPont, Ginny Bray, and Susan Clemmer.
Survived by loving wife of 36 years, Carol; his children, Kathy Ekblad and Steven Herrick; step-sons, Greg Schelander (Katie) and Fred Gray (Alissa); sister-in-law, Barb Herrick; brother-in-law, Al Meier; grandchildren, Julie (Kristine), Mitchell (Kimberly), Matthew, Jacob, Hayley, Callia, Chase, Savanna, Olivia and Alexis; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Michael attended Roosevelt High School. He worked as a Plant Superintendent at Cardinal Glass until 2001, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
An avid fisherman, he found peace and joy on the water and loved spending time with family and friends at their lake home on Mille Lacs, where he was caretaker to the beloved Martin birds.
A memorial service will be held at a later date."
