Michael Lynn Hodges, age 57 of Corydon, Indiana passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Robley Rex VAMC. Michael was born on October 1, 1967 in Leitchfield, Kentucky to the late Albert and Ruth Hodges. He was a loving husband, father and son. Michael served in the US Air Force as a linguist and additionally served in the US Army National Guard serving in transportation in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. He loved languages, vocabulary, stories, writing and was an avid reader. He loved to make you think and offer different perspectives on various topics.
His greatest love was being a father to Luke, his son. Luke was his greatest joy and his every thought revolved around him. He was always looking out for him and what was best for him.
In addition to his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Louise Hodges.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of almost 20 years, Kristin Hodges; Lucas "Luke" Hodges; brothers, Larry Hodges and James Donnelly (Deborah); sister, Laura Moskowitz; step-sisters, Karen Roeder and Glynda Brooks; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 5pm to 8pm Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky. A celebration of Michael's life will be 10am on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
