Michael Holley Obituary

Michael Lee Holley, age 56, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 19th, 2025 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Mike was born on September 6th, 1969, in Lawton, Oklahoma to the late Cecil E. Holley and Judith G. (Shahan) Gonzales.

Mike graduated from high school in 1987 from Bowie High School in Bowie, Texas. Mike played football and baseball in school, which began a lifelong love of both sports. Mike was an avid Seahawks and Cowboys fan as well as a Mariners/Rangers fan his entire life.

After graduating from High School, Mike joined the U.S. Army where he served as a Combat Medic for two years, doing most of his time in Baumholder, Germany (The Rock). After the Army, Mike moved to Lawton, OK where he began a career in Phlebotomy. It was during this time that he met Ruby Jenkins and on October 11th, 1991, Mike was blessed with a son, Jason.

Mike and Jason would later move to the Seattle, Washington area from 2001 through 2010 where Mike worked as a salesman for a building supply company. Mike and Jason returned to Oklahoma and eventually came to Wichita Falls, TX to be near Mike's brother, Tim.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Gonzales; his father, Cecil Holley; and his brother, John Daniel. He is survived by his son, Jason Jenkins of Wichita Falls, TX; Brother Tim Holley (Deanna) of Wichita Falls, TX; Brother Richard Holley (Denise) Puyallup, WA; Sister Angela McKiernan, Cheyenne, OK; Sister Theresa Keith (Jeff) Earlsboro, OK; Aunts Janet Gale Short and Barbara Jean Shahan of Ponca City, OK, Uncle Owen Short of Dittmer, MO; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews that he loved very much.

Michael will be dearly missed by many friends and family members. Michael knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and because of that, we do not grieve as those who have no hope (1 Thess 4:13). Michael has finally been reunited with loved ones who have gone to Heaven before him and those of us left behind know that we will see him again someday.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Michael on November 1st, 2025 @ 11:00am at Anchor Baptist Church (4298 Armory Rd, Wichita Falls, TX 76302) with Pastors Aaron McNeil and Tim Holley officiating.
