Horst Sr., age 73, passed away peacefully at his home in St. Francis, Wisconsin on March 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with stage IV lung cancer and heart disease. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mickey attended Menomonee Falls High School. He worked alongside his father before becoming the proud owner of State Auto Sales, which he operated for many years.
Mickey honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and remained a devoted and proud Vietnam veteran throughout his life.
He will be remembered for his funny, sarcastic, and childlike sense of humor. Mickey loved Elvis, old westerns, fishing, classic cars, and spending time with lifelong friends as a member of the Memories Car Club.
Mickey was the beloved husband of Pamela Horst (née Windisch) for 51 years. Loving father of Lisa Crane, Laura (Bill) Neeb, and Michael (Corrisa) Horst Jr. Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey, Kevin, Jazz, Will, Emma, Noah, Seth, Chandler, Collin (Lindsey), Savannah (Lance), and Michael. Proud great grandfather of Landon and Kal El. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Florence (née Sassi) Horst, and his siblings Richie, Mary, Butch, and Linda.
Mickey will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation at the MAX A. SASS & SONS OKLAHOMA CHAPEL (1515 W.
