I was one of Michael's nurses seems like ages ago. I admitted him from the VA hospital. He told me crazy stories about jumping out of helicopters during the war. I know when I admitted him he had a brother also in t the hospital who I also wanted to accept as a patient and they didn't think he could survive the trip from the VA to the nursing home. At that time all he could tell me was he missed him Mom and a house on a hill by a cemetery. One day he burst i into my office holding a plastic cup of over his mouth and said " these gas masks will never work! We've got to get better than this!" Then took off down the hall. I loved this guy. Ive thought about him so many times since I left there. .... He will be missed!

I'm so saddened by Michael's death. I've just found him again after many many years of searching. We shared the same Oron Castle Howard as a father with different a mother. Being the oldest of my Father's children, I grew up in Ohio with my Mother & Step Father. I lost track of Michael after seeing him in the late 1980's in California.
My heart goes out to his family & friends.

With deepest sympathy & sorrow. My prayers are for comfort & peace as memories come your way.
