Michael F. "Mike" Huerta

1956 - 2025

Michael (Mike) F. Huerta, 68 was called home to heaven to be in the arms of Jesus, on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Mike was born in Clovis, New Mexico, on April 23, 1956, to Jesse and Margaret Huerta. Mike attended Clovis Schools.
In 1972 Mike met the love of his life Nancy Warren while cruising Main street in downtown Clovis. Mike and Nancy were married on May 15, 1974. In 1976 Mike and Nancy welcomed their daughter Courtney and in 1980 their second daughter Meredith.
Mike owned and operated Mike Huerta Construction for 30 years. Prior to that he was instrumental in partnering with John Bourne and Raymond Furrow building numerous homes throughout Clovis. Most recently Mike worked for DavTek where he expanded his skill helping to remodel and build numerous new businesses in Clovis.
Mike is survived by his wife, Nancy. His daughter Courtney (Timothy) Larko, of Sahuarita, Arizona. Meredith Huerta of Clovis. Granddaughter Aubrey Larko, of Sahuarita, Arizona. His siblings Jerry Hastings of Arlington, Texas. Joey (Penny) Huerta of Austin, Texas, Laura (Johnny) Landers of Sanger, Texas, Mia (Joe) Wooten, Denise Reames and Lisa (Ron) Durant, Mark (Becky) Huerta all of Clovis, New Mexico. Brother and sister-in-law Calvin (Debbie) Warren of Amarillo, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, in laws Aubrey and Mary Warren, brothers Kevin Hastings and Scott Huerta, great nephew Thomson Smith and his grandson Braden Larko.

Family visitation will be at Steed Todd on Wednesday, February 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and services will be held at Legacy Church at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 27th.
Cremation has taken place.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff at DavTek along with Rick, Derek, and Jorde Hamilton.
