My sympathy to the family, especially Kay. We're not supposed to outlive our children, and I cannot imagine what you are going through. May God bless and help you through this.

I am very sorry about Mike. He was way to young. He used to come down to our empty lot next to our house and play football with the neighborhood kids all the time. It was great fun. He was a good neighborhood friend.

I met Mike in Troop 183. I was about 12 and Mike was probably 17. I think Mike was the coolest guy I knew back then. I loved his gold Pontiac LeMans and he gave me guite a thrill when he took me for a ride.
Mike and I shared a tent together when we went to the 1977 National Scout Jamboree. He was my big brother for a week. One night, in the tent, he played his banjo for a long time. When he quit, you could hear clapping and cheers from other troops, wanting to hear more.
I was sad to hear of Mikes passing. He will always be cool in my book. I'll be looking forward to riding with him in the next life. I'm sorry for you loss. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
