Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at age 73, after a long battle with multiple myeloma. Predeceased by his father and mother, John and Gertrude (Bargielski) Jasek. He is survived by his daughters, Gretchen and Kirsten; granddaughters, Leanna and Annika; uncle Richard J. Bargielski of Erie, PA; many beloved relatives in the Jasek and Bargielski families as well as many dear friends. Michael was a member of the New York State Police, and promoted to an investigator with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Forensics Identification Sections of Troops D and B. He was a member of the Police Benevolent Association of the NYS Troopers, the American Association of State Troopers, the Association of Former New York State Troopers, the International Association for Forensic Identification, and the B.P.O. Elks Club of Oneida, NY. The family would like to thank the staff at Strong Hospital/Wilmot Cancer Center for the exceptional medical care and caring they exhibited during Michael's illness.
