Michael K. Johnson, 74, of Guilford, CT, passed away unexpectedly while visiting with his son, Ryan J. Johnson in Harvard, MA. Mike was the son of the late Jackie Johnson and Shirley Johnson. He leaves his wife of 52 years, Annalee Johnson.
Mike loved to sing, travel, and spend time with family and his church congregation. He was a proud member of the Vocal Majority for 15 years and won three International Barbershop Harmony Society Gold Medals during that time. Mike grew up in the Methodist church and that’s where he was married and raised his sons. Most recently, Mike was a member of First Congregational Church in Madison, CT, where he sang in the choir. During his career as an industrial engineer, Mike helped build diesel engines, electronic equipment, Chevy Suburban's and the United States’ F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
Mike is also survived by his two sons, Matthew D. Johnson, his wife Ryan L. Johnson, and their three children, Abigail, Chase, and Logan; and Ryan J. Johnson, his wife Jill M. Johnson, and their son Quinn.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, which is the facility that is providing care for Mike’s wife and our Mother, Annalee Johnson, who has late stage dementia. Mike’s final act of love for his wife was to ensure she was moved to Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center so that she may receive ongoing care in his absence. Any donations made would carry on Mike’s legacy and lasting love for his beloved wife. Donations for Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation center can be made at this link: https://www.holytrinityrehab.org/giving/make-a-gift/. Please select the option for a Memorial Gift and enter Mike Johnson in the appropriate field.
