Michael Stanley Johnson, affectionately known as "Stanley," passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, at the age of 74, surrounded by loved ones at Piedmont Post Acute in Piedmont, South Carolina.
He was born on October 11. 1951 in Seneca, S.C. to Clara and Henry Edward Johnson. Michael Stanley Johnson proudly served in the United States Air Force, dedicating 20 years to serving his country with honor and distinction.
Michael Stanley Johnson is survived by his sisters, Jean Ann Johnson, Joann Carter, Kimberly M. Fling, Elethia Phipps-Lee (Charles), brother James Henry Johnson, two nephews Keith A. Johnson (Teresa), Jamie Johnson (Umeika) and one niece Crystal Scott (Antoine) and a host of great nieces and great nephews and a special grandson; Kacey Dendy.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Johnson; Father Henry Edward Johnson, his stepmother, Kaye E. Johnson, two brothers, Mann Johnson and Ricardo Johnson, two nephews, Keith D. Johnson and Michael Rodney Johnson, and his Grandmother, Mae Bell Gibson.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Brown Funerals, 101 East North Second Street, Seneca.
Burial will take place at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, S.C., date and time to be determined. The obituary will be updated with the date and time once it is determined.
Family and friends are invited to attend and pay tribute to Michael’s life and service.
