It is with great sadness that we share the death of Michael Merle Jones.
Michael Merle Jones was born on July 28, 1969, the beloved son of Barbara and John Jomes. He attended Nova Elementary and High School, Broward College, and McFatter Vocational School. He obtained a degree in printing and later graduated from pharmacy assistance school. He grew up in Plantation playing PAL sports including soccer ,baseball, and flag football.
He was employed by the Broward County School system at Park Springs Elementary. All the kids at his school loved “Mr. Mike.”
He Hiked a portion of the Appalachian Trail with a friend, loved fishing, and his new hobby was crafting knives. He purchased a restored roadster and won a trophy at his first car show.
He was married to Pat, who sadly proceeded him in death in 2022. They were married in 2003, and those became some of his happiest days. He was a loved son, brother, father, cousin, uncle, a dear friend.
