Was very sad to get the news today that Michael had passed away. So much to say but could never put it as eloquently as others have written.
Always a good friend, passionate in whatever he did.
My deepest condolences to Sean and his family.

Mike was the friend of a friend, who offered his kindness to me as an extension of his affection and respect for our mutual friend after we lost him. Mike watched over me with check-in texts and shared memories of a bigger than life character we both adored, and I feel a huge loss knowing he's gone. True gentlemen and real artists are so few and far between, and he was both. Godspeed, Mike, fair winds and following seas.

Sean Michael, Elizabeth, Michael and Diana, please accept the condolences of the Troopers of the 11th Armored Cavalry's veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia. Michael was a dedicated and hard-charging warrior, one of us, one of our own. He served courageously with the Legendary Blackhorse Regiment in K Troop of the 3rd Squadron in 1967 and 1968, and will be remembered as an honorable trooper whose very presence brought comfort and support to his fellow troopers. His name will be included on the Honor Roll of our combat veterans and "may all generations call him blessed" as he was willing in the spirit of America to sacrifice and take up arms to protect and care for his fellow man. His service in Vietnam highlighted his bravery and valor and was guided with the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. As grateful Americans we should all pause and salute a man who was willing to put his life on the line for his country. As our burial liturgy states: " ... his life has not ended, merely changed ..." and as we were together then in Vietnam, we will be together again with the "Harbor Master" in the life hereafter, warmly embraced in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
