There's a somber feeling in the my community. I was informed of Mike's passing, it blew my mind.

Mike has been my maintenance guy over 20+ years. Not only that, he was also my friend. My heart is broken with grief and pain. When I was told, I literally wanted to cry out as I am crying now with unbelief. Knowing he's gone, I can feel his absence in this neighborhood.

When I look out the window, I imagine him riding through the driveway on his way to complete another task. I just saw him late last week doing what he always did, driving through the neighborhood on his way to make repairs. I can hear his voice as he would call out my name when he would enter my residence to do needed repairs. He even used his key to come in. (smile.)

He had shared with me some time ago that he was going through medical treatments and I prayed for his healing but overtime it appeared to me he was doing fine because he was back to work and being his normal self. I guess we should NEVER assume ANYTHING! You NEVER KNOW WHAT A BURDEN A PERSON IS CARRYING no matter how humble they may be and Mike was a humble man.

Although I am aware that we all must meet that appointed time, my heart still aches in losing my friend. For me, it will never be the same here. Mike was one of a kind. No one can replace him in my mind. He was a diligent and faithful worker to end. My family grew up knowing "Mr. Mike", we all are going to miss him.

Through every season you could count on him being there, especially during the winter months, removing snow during the wee hours of the morning and making it easier for us to commute.

I'm sending my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and coworkers.

I don't know what else I can do besides paying tribute to his service and memory.

But I will end with a blessing to everyone. God bless you all during this time of bereavement. May God bring comfort. May He console and strengthen each person today and in the coming days ahead.

Sincerely,
Joannie Burnett

Mike was an amazing person. Always willing to help. Always making me smile. Mike was awesome at what he did. And after 14 years of friendship, I can say with a smile he was a great friend. Mike told jokes while he worked, was always prompt and always willing to go above and beyond. Mike spoke highly of his wife and daughters. Even sharing proud moments in sports, proms and holidays. To Mike´s daughters, he loved you very very much. And was extremely proud of you. To Mike´s wife, he mentioned you often. Always with a smile. I´d have to say you have long hair becuz we always joked about the shower drain and long hair. To the Kemble family, Mike was awesome, funny and will be genuinely missed. Mike, if you see this, `I finally learned how to remove my drain on the tub and put it back properly´. You would be proud of me! I´m gonna miss u saying `Vee, you still don´t know how to do this, I´ve shown you 100xs.´ Then he would say; `Call me when you need it done in 2 weeks´. Lol. Funny, sarcastically funny, kind, gentle spirit and a genuine family man, Mike was truly AWESOME. You will be missed. Dearly. Your Greens 2 family.
