Michael J. Krzyzaniak
Pinconning, Michigan
Michael Joseph Krzyzaniak, known affectionately as Mike to his friends and family, passed away from injuries received in an auto accident on November 6, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on January 12, 1973, in Bay City, Michigan to Chester & Colleen (Grappin) Krzyzaniak, Mike was a man whose life was defined by his unwavering resolve, his boundless ingenuity, and the deep love he held for his family and friends.
Mike's journey began, growing up on the family farm that would shape much of his character and future. Despite a harrowing accident at the age of seven that nearly cost him his arm, Mike's resilience shone through as he recovered and learned the value of perseverance-a lesson he would carry with him throughout his life.
A graduate of Pinconning High School's class of 1992, Mike expanded his knowledge and skills at the career center, where he mastered diesel and heavy equipment technology. His pride in earning his spraying license was a testament to his commitment to learning and self-improvement. Mike's work ethic was unmatched, and his philosophy that hard work pays off was embodied in his dedication to farming and teaching his sons to be the best in their field. The Krzyzaniak farm was and is a legend to Mike and his family, he was always proud knowing that his son's will carry on the Krzyzaniak Farm in his memory.
In the winter of 1997, Mike met the love of his life, Jennifer Peake. Their union on August 11, 2001, was the beginning of a beautiful partnership that lasted 27 years. Together, they raised a family that included their sons Joseph (Amber), with whom he shared the joy of his adored granddaughter Penny, and Andrew and Joshua Krzyzaniak. Mike was a family man at his core, and his family extended to his father and stepmother, Chester and Monica Krzyzaniak, his siblings Lisa (Mike) Kischnick, Jennifer (Mark) Whyte, Rebecca Resmer, and his only brother Benjamin Krzyzaniak, as well as his favorite sister-in-law Serena (Aaron) Magsig, stepbrother Peter Niedzwiecki, and father-in-law James (Trina) Peake. His life was further enriched by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who became like family over the years.
Mike's passion for mechanics and invention was evident in his love for building fast motors for tractor pulling and drag racing. His second home in Fredrick, Michigan, was his sanctuary, a place where he could indulge in his adventurous spirit with his boat, jeeps, Harley's, and snowmobiles. A lover of antique tractors, Mike owned over 50 of them, each a project that showcased his ability to create something extraordinary from the ground up.
Described by those who knew him as adventurous, intelligent, and handy, Mike's legacy is one of a life lived to the fullest, marked by his indomitable spirit and the love he gave and received. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael was predeceased by his mother Colleen McQuarter, his mother-in-law Donna Peake, brother-in-law James Peake Jr., aunts, uncles, and an infant nephew Ethan Whyte. His life was a beacon of determination and joy, and his memory will be cherished and kept alive by the many lives he touched. Mike's story is one of triumph, love, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, November 17, 2025, at 2 pm from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Pinconning Chapel with Larry Wilson presiding with inurnment at a later date. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. And on Monday from 10 am until time of service.
