Michael Lauwereins passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24th in Jacksonville, Florida at age 77. Born in Stamford, Connecticut to Richard Lauwereins and Sara McAllister. Michael Lauwereins was a very loving father and a strong Christian. He was a veteran and served in the Vietnam War. Michael was preceded in death by his son Joseph Lauwereins and sister Stephanie Nelson. His survivors are his sister Susan Lauwereins and his son Mark Lauwereins, and granddaughters Sara and Sasha. He really enjoyed spending time with his friends in the Florida Military School Association. A memorial will be held on October 7th 2025 at Naugle Funeral Home in Jacksonville Florida at 11 a.m. and followed by a memorial at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

What a great mañ and Vereran! I used to babysit Joseph and Mark when they were babies, and they were GOOD boys. I'm SO sorry to hear about Michael's passing; he was extremely intelligent, had great work ethic, and loved his family! He will be missed; our last conversation was at Billy Whiddon's funeral services. He's living in the eternal dimension with no more worries of the world. I loved being around Anna & Mike when I was a teenager, such a fun family.

Sorry to hear of Michael passing. My condolences go out to his family. Michael was a fun kind hearted man. I enjoy the time I had to spend with him. He love to go thrift store hunting and grab a bite eat. Iam so glad I was able to spend some time with him in his last few weeks. His passing seem to come to soon. He is a beautiful angel now and he definitely earned his wings. Fly high my friend. Big Sandy
