Herb and I met Mike at JR´s right after moving into Heritage Shores in November, 2005. We went to eat dinner and Mike, ever curious, came over to where we were sitting at the bar to find out who we were. What a friendly man. When we could, we always shopped at the hardware store.
We have had many laughs with Mike over the years we lived in HS.
May his memory be a blessing. Vicky Gray

very sorry to hear of Mike's passing .He will be sadly missed in the Bridgeville and surrounding areas. He managed the family hardware store with a passion and provided the area with his knowledge and skills in the business as well as history of the town. A local asset that will not be forgotten.

We are sorry to read this news of Mike's passing.
For the Crisfields, Hawsie passed on last August. I am left.
She and I were so amused at hearing Mike's recording of Sussex dialect
back in the good old days. My Dad spoke of speaking with Mike and Linda
at a party years ago and how engaging they were. Ed Goodwin always
recommended Layton's Hardware after Burton's closed in Seaford. We recall wonderful memories of Mike and the Laytons.
Regards to all of Mike's family and relatives. Art Crisfield
