Michael Lee Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by James Crowder Funeral Home - La Marque on Dec. 30, 2025.
With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Michael Eugene Lee, born July 26, 1954, who left us on December 23, 2025.

Mike lived his life with service, integrity, and dedication to those around him. He proudly served as an Air Force Airman and played trumpet in the U.S. Air Force Band of the West. His military service shaped the values that guided him throughout his life, and he was the hardest-working man many of us knew.

He remained active in the veteran community, serving as the Director of the American Legion Riders Post 554 and as First Vice President of the Legionnaires. Through these roles, Mike remained closely connected to his fellow veterans.

Above all, Mike loved his family. They were his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

Mike is survived by his loving family: his partner, Carol McGuire; his daughters, Donielle Obregon and her husband, Gumaro, and Michelle Vercher and her husband Jimmy; his granddaughters, Bailey and Olivia; his step-granddaughter, Sarah; and his siblings, Catherine Fodo, Patrick Lee, and Matthew Lee. He is also remembered by Carol's children and grandchildren, as well as Christopher Hennessey, his wife Catherine, and their children Madeline, Eleanor, and William. Mike's legacy lives on through each of them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Lee; his mother, Joyce Lee; his sister, Laura Lee; and his brother, Timothy Lee.

Mike leaves behind many family members, friends, fellow veterans, and all who were fortunate to know him.

He will be deeply missed and always remembered.

A memorial service to celebrate Mike's life will be held on January 17, 2026 at 2pm at The American Legion Post 554 1650 Hwy 3 League City, Texas 77573.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly request that monetary donations be made to The American Legion Post 554 by calling 281-332-8733.

Arrangements are under the direction of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.
