SPRINGFIELD -- Michael F. Lee age 64 of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, after a courageous battle with lung cancer, at Kettering Medical Center. He was born the son of Delbert & Willadean (Clark) Lee on November 13, 1961, in Arcanum, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents, father & mother-in-law Harold & Nancy Blackwood.
He is survived by his wife Ruth of 27 years; son Dylan (Karli Long) Lee; daughter Rachel (Hunter) Hensley; sister Denise (Dave) Suter; granddaughter Maggie; nieces Natalie & Alyssa Suter; best friends Darrell & Lori Hockenberger; faithful K9 companion Rambo; numerous cousins, extended family & a host of friends.
Michael proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army & belonged to the American Legion Post 286. Upon completing his time with the military, he worked for US Xpress for 34 years. He will be fondly remembered for his sarcastic sense of humor & expressing his love through playing jokes on his family & friends. He was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes & the Chicago Bears. He enjoyed family vacations, attending his kid's sporting events & working on his yard with his wife.
Michael was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother & friend. He will be missed by all of those who love him.
Friends & family may call on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 11AM – 12PM at Richards, Raff $ Dunbar Memorial Home 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio where a memorial service will be held at 12PM with Pastor Alan Cain officiating.
