Michael Lodge Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 15, 2025.
Michael David Lodge, affectionately known as Mike or Spike, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, in Wesley Chapel, Florida, at the age of 59. Born on June 22, 1966, in Oak Park, Illinois, Mike was a devoted family man, a skilled electrician, and an ardent sports enthusiast who lived his life with passion and dedication.
Mike spent his career as a Union Electrician for the Chicago chapter of the IBEW Local 134, where he demonstrated exceptional skill and commitment. His work ethic and mastery of his craft were admired by colleagues and friends alike.
Outside of work, Mike's love for Chicago sports was legendary. Whether cheering for the Cubs, Blackhawks, or Bears, his devotion never wavered. He brought that same energy and enthusiasm to the softball field and the golf course, where he spent countless hours perfecting his swing and savoring the camaraderie of the game.
An exceptional cook, Mike loved bringing people together with his culinary creations. His kitchen was always filled with laughter, delicious aromas, and a sense of belonging. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories made around his table.
Mike leaves behind a loving family: his parents, David and Carolyn Winslow Lodge; his beloved wife of 25 years, Jessica; his daughter Samantha and her husband Nicholas Hill; his sons Jake, Matthew, Joshua, and Nicholas; and his sister Debbie Lodge Gomes and her husband Jorge. Each of them carries forward his legacy of love, warmth, and unwavering support.
A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor the remarkable life of Mike Lodge-a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son and brother, and an unforgettable friend.
Though he has left this world, the impact of Mike's spirit and the love he shared will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
