Michael “Mike” Alan Lungo, 61, was led into heaven on March 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on November 23, 1964, and from the beginning he was known for his generous spirit, quick wit, and unwavering loyalty to the people he cared about.

Mike lived a life rooted in hard work, kindness, and quiet strength. He had a natural ability to make others feel welcome, whether through a warm smile, a helping hand, or a story that could light up a room. Those who knew him well remember his steady presence, his sense of humor, and the way he showed up for others without hesitation.

Music was a central thread in Mike’s life. As a young man, he was a proud member of the Parma Boy’s Choir and later the Tri C Show Choir, where he shared his love of singing and performing. He continued his love of performing and sharing joy with others through his karaoke parties with friends. His service to the community continued throughout adulthood as a current member and past Auxiliary President of VFW Post 3345. These organizations were more than affiliations—they were families he cared for deeply.

Mike had a creative soul and a curious mind. He enjoyed antiquing, and exploring auctions and online marketplaces, always on the hunt for something unique or a project he could bring back to life. He was exceptionally crafty, often turning simple ideas into thoughtful creations. Known affectionately as a “Mr. Fix It,” Mike was the person loved ones called when something broke, needed troubleshooting, or just didn’t make sense. Helping others wasn’t a chore for him—it was one of the ways he showed love.

Mike had an unconditional love for his family and was excited to share his passions with them. Once his children were old enough to join activities, so did he! Mike enjoyed camping with Adventure Guides and Princesses, and volunteering and announcing the halftime show for the years his children performed with the Valley Forge Marching Band. He also loved taking his family camping at Disney World to vacation every few years.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Michele, their beloved son, Vinny, their cherished daughter, Natalie, and his brother, Mark Lungo. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Alessandro (Al) Lungo and Mary (Jane) Lungo (Misener).

He also leaves behind extended family and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on August 1, 2026 at VFW Post 3345, 17900 Strongsville Blvd, Strongsville, Ohio 44149, where loved ones will gather to honor his legacy and share the stories that made him unforgettable. Please send Michele photos to be included in the slide show. If you are so inclined, wear tie-dye, Mike’s favorite go-to fashion. The celebration schedule is as follows: memorial visitation from 2:00 to 4:00; prayer service and VFW Auxiliary Memorial Service at 4:00; dinner at 5:00; and karaoke at 7:00. Cash bar.

May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
