Michael Lynch Obituary
He was born May 3, 1950, to J.F. Lynch Jr. and Mary Dunn Lynch and spent most of his youth in Greenville, S.C.
He graduated from Furman University in 1976 and Campbell University School of Law in 1982. He worked as an attorney in South Carolina for several years before moving to Georgia and starting a real estate title examination business.
He moved to Ellijay in 2004 and was a member of Ellijay First United Methodist Church. He loved playing his guitar, singing silly songs, telling jokes and making people laugh.
He is survived by wife of 41 years, Janet Copley Lynch; sons, Michael Eric Lynch II, Mark Allen Lynch and David Patrick Lynch; daughter, Allison Lynch Willis; daughter-in-law, Crystal Lynch; brother, Mark Steven Lynch; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren also survive.
He is preceded in death by son, Adam Lynch; and sisters, Karen L. Henry and Sharon L. Christian.
He will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, from the Ellijay First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Brantley officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at the Ellijay First United Methodist Church after the service. Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
