Michael B. "Mike" Maddock

My sincere condolences to the whole family as a great man was lost from the Earth - his obituary tells me a lot about how he touched your lives. Mike and I did fantasy baseball together for many years; sometimes as partners and sometimes as competitors. He embraced talking about baseball and he truly loved the sport. He would show up at our drafts with his lamp and a mess of papers... only to spend the time chatting, joking, and being his wonderful self. "Say Hey" became his hallmark, of course, and we talked throughout the years about seeing a ball game together. He promised to come to an anthem that I sing, some day. For my next anthem, I will be holding something to remind me of him... he was incredible and as much as I miss him, his family and the world knows that his lamp will never go out.
