South Range Michael Paul Maginnis, age 68 of South Range, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, while in the care of his daughter, Megan, and her life partner, Alan Keranen.
He was born on December 21, 1956, in San Francisco. Michael was the son of Patricia Maginnis and Paul Housley and stepfather John Maginnis.
Michael joined the Navy in his senior year of high school and completed his degree through the Navy GED program.
He married Connie Maki of Painesdale in the summer of 1975 and subsequently divorced. Following his completion of service with the Navy in Rota, Spain, he traveled back to California and married Lori Garcia of Bakersfield.
After spending several years working in Wyoming and Alaska's Kodiak Island, he returned to the South Range area. After working with several local contractors, he was hired by Adams Township, where he received his certification as a water testing technician.
Mike enjoyed his time at his camp, hunting, motorcycling, friends and many pets. He was a supporter of the Vietnam veterans and the VFW.
Mike's greatest joy was raising his daughter, Megan and spending time eating ice cream with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his daughter Megan, his brother Mark, his father Paul Housley, half brothers Tim and Steve, and five grandchildren (Ava, Ari, Waylon, Ella & Emma).
Burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery of South Range.
