Michael Timothy "Tim" Mahon, age 59, of
Atlantic Beach, Florida passed away on April 1, 2023, at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville. He was born on June 29, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Martin Jerome Mahon, Sr. and Mary Louise Kelbaugh Mahon. Tim spent the majority of his life in Maryland and graduated from Parkville Senior High School in 1982. Over the years Tim worked as an operating room assistant at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, a security guard in Ocean City and a clerk for Green Valley Marketplace in Annapolis. Tim also devoted many years of his life as a Volunteer Fireman at Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company. In 2020 he moved to Atlantic Beach where he was employed at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Country Club. Tim loved his family and friends, the Orioles and Ravens, league bowling and playing golf. He was our family's "Rain Man" who could tell you the significant dates for every member of our extended family. Ever-resilient, genuinely kind, and sensitive, Tim was a soft-spoken hero to many, including those he gifted through the organ donor program. He was conscientious, courteous and a selfless-minded person who will always be remembered as unfailingly forgiving and loving. His humor and colorful jokes brought joy and laughter to all around him! Tim inspired people with his steadfast, honest energy in the fellowship of recovery since July 9, 1996. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Martin Jerome Mahon, Jr., Murray Paul Mahon; and sister-in-law, Debbie Mahon. Tim is survived by his brothers, Michael Kevin (Kristin) Mahon, Mark Daniel (Debbie) Mahon, Matthew Shawn Mahon, Martin Gregory (Carol) Mahon, Mark Christopher (Kim) Mahon; sister, Mary Louise (Kelly) Hogan; sister-in-law, Shelley Mahon, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
