Michael "Mike" Maier passed away on October 31, 2025, in Verona, Wisconsin, at the age of 62. He was born on January 13, 1963, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Ray and Doris Maier.
Mike graduated from Middleton High School in 1981. He pursued a career as an electrician and eventually established and operated his own business, Maier Electric, which he ran for nearly two decades.
Mike was an avid Wisconsin sports fan. He enjoyed playing baseball and fastpitch softball but gravitated toward golf later in life. He had a deep curiosity for the world around him-reading the newspaper from front to back each day and soaking up knowledge wherever he could.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Taylor (Mitch) Flora; stepchildren, Nick (Nicole) Esser and Whitney (Brian) Johnson; grandchildren, Connor and Sophia Esser; mother, Doris Maier; and siblings, Marv (Deb) Maier, Dennis (Julie) Maier, Luanne (Mike) Gorst, Debbie (Jim) Lucey, Tim Maier, Judy (Paul) Brunner, and Dale Maier.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Maier, and sister-in-law, Debbie Maier.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Paddy Mac's Pub and Grill, 608 W. Verona Avenue in Verona, Wisconsin.

Mike was always a great guest at kwik trip, so polite, I will truly miss him.

Mike and, year later, brother Dale "came up the hill" to play Home Talent baseball with Pine Bluff. That 4, or 6, or however long, was a FABULOUS time of our lives. Playing games 3+ days a week, wives and girlfriends with us; beer and euchre and talking smart all a part of the day. Mike was a friend and a character. Witty and quick with his tongue; a nickname as unique as he was. A good guy from a good family. One of his comebacks was, "don´t tell me how hard you worked, tell me what you got done. We were fortunate to live next door to Mike and Kristi and the kids on Noel Way. We always enjoyed our times with them. As usual,after a couple years, life had both our families taking different paths but Mike and Jim would meet up often as they both worked in the trades. Their friendship continued till Mike's passing. I didn't bump into Mike as often but always enjoyed catching up with him when I did. He was always a proud Papa when he spoke of the kids. Mike was a good guy with a great heart. He will be greatly missed. We'll keep him in our prayers.
