Michael Mailander Obituary
Michael Thomas Mailander, 70, of Loveland, Colorado passed away peacefully on February 20, 2024.
He was born in Atlantic, Iowa on June 11, 1953, to Melvin and Patricia (Kerwin) Mailander. He grew up there, graduated from Atlantic High School in 1971, and joined the U.S. Army in 1972 where he proudly served with the Green Berets-during the Vietnam War. Mike married the love of his life, Sally Schrader in 1975. The couple raised their family in Loveland after moving there in 1985.
Mike is survived by two sons, Matthew (Cherie) Mailander, and Lucas (Margarita) Mailander, five grandchildren, who were the light of his life; Macy, Alizae, Seth, Mason, and Madison. His brother, John (Pam) Mailander also survives him.
He is now reunited in heaven with his parents, sister-Mary Feuling, his loving wife, Sally, who passed in 2016, and their dear son, Jonathan, who passed in 2003.
Mike never met a stranger, was kind to everyone, and treated all with respect. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer.

Mike and I were great friends during basic training at Ft. Leonardwood. He was a fantastic person.
