Michael Christopher Maldonado

Michael Christopher "Big Mike" Maldonado, 51, of Lampasas, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Advent Health Central Texas in Killeen.

The rosary will be recited at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 6 pm with visitation to follow until 8 pm.  The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 10 am.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. 

Michael was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 7, 1973.  He went to school in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School.  He enjoyed all sports and played football in high school, was on a swim team in Marble Falls, and enjoyed fishing and watching and playing soccer.  Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Benita and Louis Maldonado.

Survivors include his mother, Vivian Maldonado; his son, Christian Nicholson; his daughter, Megan Marie Maldonado (Richard Powers III); his brother, Felipe Maldonado and wife Mary, and his grandchildren, Saylor Emerie Whitley and Brooke Anne Powers.
