Known for his warmth, charisma, and fun-loving big personality, Micheal J. Mallett never met a stranger. He had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome and cherished the time he spent with family and friends. His genuine kindness and infectious spirit touched many lives and left lasting memories wherever he went.
Micheal will be cremated under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home in Iowa, Louisiana. He will be laid to rest at Lacassine Cemetery. The family will gather Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate his life and the joyful memories he leaves behind.
He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Leola Benoit, and his father, James Mallett.
Left to carry on his memory are his children, Preston Mallett (Anna) and Tracy Kenney (Casey); his beloved grandchildren, Casen, Eli, and Ava Kenney, and Audrey Mallett; and his siblings, Lee Mallett, Janet Fuselier, Cathy Mallett, and Alice Hinton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
His children wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Micheal's devoted sister, Cathy Mallett, and his caring nieces, whose unwavering support, compassion, and love brought him comfort, laughter, and dignity during his final days. Special thanks also go to the nurses and aides who provided compassionate care to Micheal and his family.
Micheal's life was a beautiful testament to love, laughter, and resilience. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his legacy will continue in the hearts of those who loved him.
