Michael Manseau Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alfred Roy & Sons - Henry Funeral Service (Henry-Dirsa FH) on Dec. 24, 2025.
North Grosvenordale, CT – Michael A. Manseau, 66, of North Grosvenordale, CT and formerly of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 with his family by his side in Tufts Medical Center, Boston after a lengthy illness.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Rachel E. (Baker) Manseau; his two daughters, Michelle A, Morrissette and her husband, Jonathan of Mendon and Lori N. Almstrom and her husband, Bryan of North Oxford; two brothers, Ronald H. Manseau and his wife, Linda Ordoukhanian of Longmeadow, MA and Peter N. Manseau and his wife, Lori of Charlton; three sisters, CarolAnn Dean and her husband, James of Oak Hill, VA, Brenda E. Blood and her husband, Jay of Spencer and Stacey M. Caudillo of Los Angeles, CA; 4 grandchildren, Aaron Morrissette, Amelia Morrissette, Jameson Almstrom and Rowan Almstrom; an uncle, Donald Richard and his wife, Susan of Douglas and many nephews and nieces.

Mike was born in Worcester, son of the late Bernard W. and Rita M. (Richard) Manseau and is also predeceased by a brother in law, Larry Caudillo. He graduated from South High School in Worcester and then continued his education by taking classes at Nichols College in Dudley.

Mike was a buyer and planner for the Schott North America Company retiring 2024 after working with the company since 2010. He was a member and past president of the Harmony Club of Worcester, where he was active and volunteered in many capacities.

Mike played softball for many years in the Jack Benny Softball League and also bowled in the Men's League at Mohegan Bowling in Webster. He was a fan of both the Boston Bruins and the Boston Red Sox and would never miss the opportunity to watch a game. Mike loved being outdoors year-round, whether it was golfing, camping and taking trips to the beach, or going ice fishing. He was always ready to jump into his treasured red Chevy truck for dancing and good times.

Mike always enjoyed being with people, but nothing made him happier than being with his family. He always looked forward to playing cards, hosting family cookouts, and jumping in the pool - but nothing compared to the happiness that he had while he was with his wife, children and his grandchildren that he adored and loved with all of his heart.

The funeral for Mike will be held on Tuesday, January 6 from the Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel 33 Ward St. Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 5, from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mike may be made to either Shriner's Children's 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607 or to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Mike´s journey, though cut too short,
Left echoes of love, and memories in sport.
He fought with strength, with heart aflame,
Leaving us with love, and a legacy to claim.

With ice cream's sweet joy, he lit up by it´s sight,
Camping under stars, his spirit took flight.
Halloween magic, he danced with glee,
A dancing heart, wild and free.

To especially Rachel, Michelle, Lori, Johnathan, Bryan, and his grandchildren dear,
We send our love, and hold you near.
In grief's shadow, may memories be bright,
And love surround you, in the dark of night.

A life like Mike´s, though brief, does shine,
A life of adventure, with hearts intertwined.
We'll remember his smile, his dance, his cheer,
And celebrate his life, as his spirit will always be here.

Love, John&Toni

I worked with Michael at SCHOTT for many years. I always loved being around him and considered him a friend. I am so sad to hear of his passing. I will always remember our good times.

I´m so sorry for your loss. Deepest sympathies to you all. He was an amazing man who was so fun to be with. I feel so lucky to have called him my friend. This picture isn´t very clear but this is part of the bowling crew when we use to party together for the Super Bowl. I think this was taken way back around 2000. I will always cherish my memories of him.
