Michael Dean Markham, 70 of Arlington Texas, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2022 with his family by his side. Michael was born to Addie and Lawrence Markham in Rotan, Texas on April 30, 1952.
Michael married Vicki Tapp on October 25, 1974 and together they had two daughters. He was a devoted and loving husband and father and later a doting Pepaw to his 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, whom loved his signature mustache and salt and pepper hair.
He was a carpenter by trade and worked making cabinetry and other construction.
Michael grew up and raised his family in the Calvary Baptist Church in Arlington. He loved playing softball on Calvary's softball team and he was an amazing first baseman. He was a Mason. He loved old cars, Nascar, and the University of Texas Longhorns. When he was younger, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Michael was always available to help anyone, whether it be with a car problem or fixing something around the house. He almost completely rebuilt his daughter Katie's family home including redoing all the plumbing because he wanted her and her family to be safe. Michael loved his family deeply and they felt that love. He was a true blessing in their lives.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Markham; brother, Wayne Markham; sister, Ann Steenburgen; mother and father-in-law, Rena and Johnnie Tapp, and brothers-in-law, Johnnie Tapp, and Gary Tapp.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Vicki Markham; daughters, Katie Narro and husband, Rodolfo, and Bonie Kopplin and husband Randy; grandchildren, Anthony Narro-Archuleta and wife Shelby, Tierany Narro-Archuleta and fiancé, Byron Aldana, Aiden Kopplin and Sadie Kopplin; great-grandchildren, Grayson Narro, Jessie Narro, and Paityn Aldana; brothers, Terry Markham and Larry Markham and wife, Jan; brother-in-law, Sidney Tapp; sister-in-law, Judy Tapp; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
