Michael G Martin

Michael Gawaine Martin, 70, of Bradford, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on April 28, 1955, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to Wayne Martin and Frances Armstrong Martin.

For more than five decades, Michael logged countless miles as a long- haul truck driver, traveling from coast to coast.  He was known for his relentless work ethic and his deep appreciation for the outdoors. Fishing, hunting, and boating were among his favorite pastimes. Michael served our country in the Army. 

Left to cherish his memory is his sons, Brandon (Tiffani) Martin, of Locust Grove, Arkansas, Joseph Martin and Justin Penner;  his daughter Melissa (Brad) Holbret, of Austin, Texas; his brother, Marvin (Scarlett) Martin, of Melbourne, Arkansas; his sister, Yolonda Rorie, of Mountain View, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Ashton, Kelbie, Jayden, Brynden, Peyton, Elyannna, Trey, Desiree, and Lyric; as well as nieces; nephews; and friends.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating. 

Burial will follow the service in the Kyler Cemetery in Southside.

Pallbearers will be Ashton Martin, Kelbie, Carlson, Trey Pearrow, Daniel Martin, Jaden Palomo, and Josiah Martin.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 4, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continue until service time.
