Michael Martineau Obituary
Michael Wilfred Martineau, age 72 of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 after a brief illness. Born in Portland, Maine, son of the late Joseph and Bertha Barlow Martineau, Michael had been a Bridgeport City resident for many years. He had worked as a driver for North Penn Trucking and Rudy's Limousine. Mike enjoyed motorcycle riding, cooking, classic rock and was an avid sports fan, especially professional fighting. More than anything he loved the times that he spent with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and soulmate, Linda whom he referred to as 'Squeeze.' He is survived by his children, Michael B. Martineau with his wife Christina of Darien and daughter Brook A. Hale-Martineau with long-term boyfriend Mike Blackard of Cocoa, Florida. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Michael F., Theodore, and Oscar Martineau and Teaghan, and Kierstyn Hale as well as three siblings and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are held privately in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Dear Brook & Michael, So sorry for the loss of your dad. And yes your mom was the love of his life. From the day your parents met till your mom passed away they were truly 2 peas in a pod. Just made for each other. Prayers for you to have the peace of God during this difficult time.
