Michael F. Maynard

Michael F. Maynard, age 61, of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Michel was born at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook, PA on July 5, 1964. He was the loving son of Philip and Mary Louise Maynard.

Mike was a wonderful husband and father with a work ethic that was second to none. He worked with the New England Motor Freight Inc. for many years, until his retirement in 2012. He was a quiet, private man, but would give the shirt off his back to help others in need. Mike had a passion for all of the Philadelphia sports teams, especially the orange and black of the Flyers.

Mike cherished any time spent outdoors, especially enjoying the company of his family in the mountains. Although he was quiet, Mike was thoughtful, calculated, and passionately curious. He loved a good conspiracy theory and took pride in convincing others on why it could be true.

He enjoyed all different types of music from old country like Johnny Cash and George Jones to classical, jazz, and even heavy metal. He took pride in knowing and following many different artists over the years. He found laughter and enjoyment in standup comedy, especially Geore Carlin. He will be sorely missed by all who came to know him.

Beloved husband of 32 years of Francine M. Maynard (nee Brooks) and cherished father of Melanie Maynard.
