Michael Lee McBride

Michael Lee McBride passed away May 7th, 2025. Born in Ft. Campbell, KY,
he was an Army brat whose parents settled in Pacific Grove then Moss
Landing. Mike graduated from North Salinas High and began work as a
mechanic. He worked for Powers Rentals, Paul Faro Automotive and retired
from Monterey-Salinas Transit. Mike was a trusted mechanic, doing things
the old school way. Also known as Mac or FM (Farmer Mike), Mike was a
long-time volunteer at the California Rodeo Salinas and was active in
anything involving his daughter and grandchildren. Before Mike retired, he
grew giant pumpkins and was known for his yearly fireworks display with
friends (at an undisclosed location). In his retirement Mike enjoyed
boating and camping at Lake Nacimiento with his family. Mike loved hot
rods and motorcycles, he enjoyed anything loud and fast! Mike loved to
have fun with everything being an "E" ticket! He was always a kid at
heart.
He is survived by his wife Susanne, daughter Kate Brown (Daniel), grandson
Colton and granddaughter Morgan as well as sisters-in-law Jo Picken, Lynda
Alamo (Mike), Karen Rothove (Leo) and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date. He was predeceased by
parents Mac and Marian McBride, brothers David and Gerald and in-laws Jack
and Martha Williamson.
