Michael McCann Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Borek Jennings Funeral Homes - Howell Memorial Chapel on Dec. 10, 2025.
Mc Cann, Michael

Howell, Michigan

His Legacy… Michael Baine McCann, 74, passed away December 10, 2025. He was born on September 22, 1951, in Yokosuka, Japan to Charles McCann and Seiko (Sakamoto) McCann. Michael married the love of his life, Beatrice Bacile, on July 30, 1998, in Howell, Michigan. He will be remembered for his strong-willed, feisty nature and his genuine love for helping others. Skilled with his hands, he enjoyed building a variety of things and had a particular passion for collecting Lionel trains. Michael was a proud member of the Howell Gun Club and a lifetime member of the NRA. His happiest moments were spent hunting, fishing, or sharing his expertise with others-whether it was fixing boats, motors, or garage doors. Michael's love for working with people shone through in his many years in marine sales, where he formed many lasting connections.

His Family… Michael will be missed by his loving wife, Beatrice; his step-children, Robert (Lynnell) Dodson, Colette (Jeremy) Thomasson; siblings, Carla (Ronald) Brady, Nancy McCann; grandchildren, Bryce, Grace, Nathanael, Brendan, Faith, Nolan, Hope, Ryan, Jackson, Olivia, Emma; many nieces and nephews; dear friends, Tom & Sue Diebol, Tony & Christina Funk, Bryan Winkle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Seiko McCann.

His Farewell… Michael's family and friends will gather Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 2 pm, with a Sharing Service at 4 pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, in Howell, Michigan. A private family burial will take place in Ohio later. Memorial contributions are suggested to American Kidney Fund.
