Michael Patrick McCarthy, Jr. MONCKS CORNER - Michael Patrick McCarthy, Jr., 80, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, husband of Elizabeth Reeves McCarthy, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 31, 2024. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday , November 6, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens 3093 Ashley River Rd., Charleston, SC 29414. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel. Michael was born February 7, 1944 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Michael Patrick McCarthy and the late Margaret Evelyn Herndon McCarthy. He loved boating, fishing, shrimping, and just being on the water. Michael also enjoyed woodworking and building things. In addition to his wife, Elizabeth of 28 years, he is survived by children: Thomas B. Aldrich (Momi) of Moncks Corner, SC, Dr. William C. Aldrich (Lisa) of Camden, SC, Victoria Hood of Macedonia, SC. Johnny Aldrich (Tammy) of Summerville, SC, Wilson T. Baggett (Debbie) of Moncks Corner, SC, Whilden Baggett (Shonda) of Bonneau, SC, Sadie Blue (Gage) of Mt. Pleasant; nineteen grandchildren; and many loved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Robert Aldrich; sister, Marlene Hanjes; and brother-in-law, Ken Hanjes. Flowers will be accepted.
