Michael McGonigle Obituary
Michael W. McGonigle, 77, of East Moline passed away July 18, 2025.
A memorial visitation will be 1-3pm Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis.
Michael was born January 24, 1948 in Austin, MN the son of Cecil and Viva Wentzel McGonigle. He married Linda Larkin November 19, 1966 in Austin, MN. Michael worked as an office manager at 3 locations for Hormel, retiring after 25 years. He was also a business manager of a construction company in New Orleans, rebuilding after hurricane Katrina. Michael was a WWII expert and educator and was an avid bowler. He was an extraordinarily good friend, husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife Linda; daughters Mesa (Stanley) Flowers of San Antonio, TX and Tara (Tim) Wilkosz of Alabama, NY; son Daniel (Emily) McGonigle of Lindstrom, MN; grandchildren Sahnje McGonigle, Seth (Alex) McGonigle, Nick (Betsy) Shadowick, Sean (Erika) McGonigle, Mason Anderson, Ezra (Diane) McGonigle, Evan McGonigle, and Hannah McGonigle, Sierra Watson, Christian Flowers, Elijah Flowers, Aiden Cornelius, Ethan Cornelius, and Stevie Wilkosz; great granddaughter Luella Ramirez, and sisters Gloria Bahr and Gail (Bruce) Lunde.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
