Cadillac - Michael Patrick McInerny, of Cadillac and formerly of Lake City, passed away at home with family by his side on Sunday, September 21, 2025. He was 67.

Mike was born on March 9, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph and Faye (Johnson) McInerny. He grew up and attended school downstate and entered into marriage with his high school sweetheart the former Jeanie Ann Rich. Starting his family and career at a young age, Mike worked in manufacturing eventually running shops and becoming a production manager until his health would not allow him to work any longer. Mike was one tough and hard working individual as witnessed when he would take off on his lunch break by motorcycle for chemo treatments only to return to work immediately after.

He was a proud and active member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, where he was involved in the K of C, and helped as a sacrastarian among other duties for the parish. Mike had a passion and love for his motorcycles and enjoyed to ride. In earlier years, he enjoyed fishing with family even though some may say he was far from a professional angler. Mike and Jeanie were very close and often together as they spent time taking road trips or going to the show to take in a movie. Jeanie would even allow Mike to take over the TV so he could watch a seemingly endless amount of western's. But, closes to Mike's heart was the love he had for his family and taking the opportunities with his grand-babies.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanie A. McInerny of Cadillac; four sons, Daniel (Christina) McInerny of Garden City, Sean (Sarah) McInerny of Dearborn Heights, Rory (Jennifer) McInerny of Cadillac, and Colin McInerny of Lake City; eight grandchildren, Danica, Ashlynn, Mia, Jazmin, James, Tyler, Alina, and Randi; as well as many other loving family members, former co-workers, parishioners and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael McInerny; his granddaughter, Ella McInerny; and his sister, Maureen.

A memorial Mass will celebrate Mike life on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Lake City, with visitation one hour prior. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Janowski. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.Young-Holdship.com The family is being served by the Young-Holdship Funeral Home.
