Michael McWaters Obituary
Michael Joseph McWaters, 39, of Newport, North Carolina, died tragically on Friday, August 16, 2024.
A memorial service to honor Michael’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 21st at Munden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through his obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. The service will remain on the Funeral Home website for 90 days.
Michael was born on August 27, 1984, in Morehead City, to Edward McWaters and Susan Elizabeth Hart. Michael was a man of many passions. He had a deep love for his family and cherished every moment spent with them. His outgoing nature made him a joy to be around, and he formed connections with everyone he met. Michael was a skilled craftsman, anything he set his mind to he could do. He was happiest doing simple things like playing darts and horseshoes with his friends or feeling the wind on his face while riding his beloved motorcycle.
Michael valued his freedom and independence, always living each day to the fullest. He embraced each adventure that came his way and always had the most fun doing it. To say Michael left a lasting impression on all he met would be an understatement. He will be deeply missed for the laughter and love that he brought to his friends and family.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his mother, Susan Elizabeth Hart of Havelock, NC; father, Edward Lane McWaters of St. Petersburg, FL; step-father, Gilbert Burn (Shannon) of Newport, NC; sons, Logan McWaters of Newport, NC, Kaleb McWaters of Newport, NC, Austin McWaters of Newport, NC; step-son, Nathan Madden of Newport, NC; brother, Jeremy Hart (Mariah) of Newport, NC; aunt, Gina Salter (Brian) of Newport, NC; uncles, Anthony Hart of Beaufort, NC, Jeffrey Ronning (Meri) of Marshallberg, NC, and Jason Ronning (Kathy) of Newport, NC.
