I am so sorry to learn of your loss.
I have such fond memories of all the Midthuns from childhood. I grew up with Pam and our families lived across the alley (Don and Lela Sax). Mike was a really nice guy. Your family is in the thoughts and prayers of ours.

We will always remember Mike as a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. At the end Mike said several times "I can leave this world but I can't leave Nancy - I just can't leave her." And he will never leave her - Nancy will carry him in her heart forever and ever. And he said "If I could just live long enough to see my children set in their lives"- and you know, I think he did. Jonathan is married to a sweet and loving woman, Amanda. Melissa is married to Matthew, who seems to love her and their children very very much. And Chris is in love with a sweet girl, Vanessa, who seems to love him very much as well. Mike, I think you did live to see that. And, you will never leave Nancy. We will miss your smile and laughter Mike.

Dear Nancy and family, I grew up with my friend Nancy, when she met Mike, I knew she was very happy. He was a great guy. I feel peace in my heart knowing Mike is up in heaven watching over all of us with his contagious smile. Mike is truly an angel. God Bless you and your family and give you peace.

I am truly saddened to hear of the loss of my friend Mike. He was the source of many a laugh during our teens and early adulthood as well as a great guy to be around. Not to mention an inspiration to me as he delt with his own life’s struggles. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family members. It is very true; God always calls the truly good ones home early.
