Michael F. Miller, 57, of Tuxedo Park, New York, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024 after a brief illness. He was born on February 11, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York, to Barbara and LeRoy Miller. Mike is survived by his beloved sister, Karen, and her partner, John; both of whom made sure he had everything he needed every day and that he had a smile on his face, his nephew, William,brother-in-law, Peter, and his partner, Susan, step-brother Andrew and his wife, Katherine, along with his children, Drew and Grace, Uncle John, as well as, many cousins, his best friend, Rob and his office buddy, Jennifer, who could always make him laugh.
Mike grew up in Mineola, New York and graduated from Mineola High School. He worked primarily as a Security Guard at IBM Sterling Forest, Quest Diagnostics as a driver, and also held a variety of additional jobs, some of which were both entertaining and memorable!
Mikey was a kind soul and fun to be around. You could often find him in his colorful Hawaiian shirts that he loved so much. He really enjoyed the Halloween season and would work at various holiday-themed events to show his spirit. Mike even auditioned to sing the National Anthem at a sporting event! Another year, Mike was the Easter Bunny at a local Mall because he was a big kid at heart. Mike loved movies and cinema and would see all the new releases and wait until the end credits to see his name. He had a love for attending car shows and collecting model cars and movie memorabilia, like the Dukes of Hazard, Batman, Jaws, and Back to the Future to name a few. We loved our Mikey’s innocence, his kind soul, and his funny sense of humor. He loved his “Favorite Sis” very, very much. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
We welcome all to join us for a brief visitation on Friday, August 23, 2024, 8:30 AM, at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 72 E. Main Street, Elmsford, New York.
