Michael Dean Miller

Michael D. "Mike" Miller, died on February 3, 2026, age 72, in Bakersfield, California. He was born in San Diego, CA, on October 4, 1953, to Martin David Miller and Beverly Dresen McCombs. Mike was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who had a love of adventure and was passionate about the outdoors, camping, traveling, and all things car related. He spent his career working in the automotive industry, starting out delivering parts and later founding his own parts inventory business.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Valerie L. Cole Miller; his 2 sons, Michael (Jessica) Miller of Atlanta, GA and Sean (Lisa) Miller of Slidell, LA, and their mother, Janet R. Myer of Covington, LA; and his stepdaughters, Shelley Shultz of Bakersfield, CA, and Keri (David) Berry of Bakersfield, CA. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren (Allison, Sadie, Ethan, Austin, Alexis, Abigail, and Blake), his mother, Beverly D. McCombs, of Laurel, MD; his mother-in-law, Marian Cole, of Bakersfield, CA; and his siblings, Sherri Tiller of Laurel, MD, Bryan (Kathy) Miller of Knoxville, MD, and Sandy Miller of Redding, CA. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Martin David Miller.

To honor Mike, the family will hold private remembrances. The family invites you to celebrate Mike's memory in your own way.
