Michael L Minkebige passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Caroline and Robert, and girlfriend, Kristen Hill, after a short battle with cancer. He was born March 7th, 1960 to the late Carol and James Minkebige of Kaukauna.
Michael graduated from Kaukauna High School and went on to become an Electrical Engineer with a degree from Marquette University. He worked most recently at ACS where he retired in October of 2021. In 2018, Michael welcomed his first grandson, Lucas and in 2021, his second grandson Nicholas arrived. Michael was expecting his third grandchild in August 2023, first from his son and daughter-in-law, and was overjoyed at the prospect. His grandchildren were a source of great joy in his life and he loved when they visited him.
Outside of work he enjoyed bowling, golfing with his friends at Crystal Mountain, MI and his yearly hunting outing with family and friends. He loved exploring the country in his RV looking for a permanent retirement location while stopping at all the fishing spots along the way.
In the final months of his life, Michael was diagnosed with cancer. During this difficult time, he was fortunate to have the unwavering love and support of his faithful girlfriend, Kristen. Kristen was a constant source of comfort and strength for Michael, always by his side.
Michael is survived by his girlfriend, Kristen Hill, his children, Caroline (Logan) Pirkola and their children Lucas and Nicholas of Appleton; Robert (Carissa) Minkebige of Madison.
Sister: Holly (Fiancé Kurt Johnson) of Kaukauna.
And Brother: David (Debbie) Lake Orion, Michigan and their son Matt (Erica) and their children Taylor, Cole, and Madelyn of Madison.
Michael is also survived by his Aunt Patricia Bosin and Ethel Schultz as well as many cousins.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Carol and James Minkebige, Uncle Louis Schultze and Uncle Roger Bosin, and Aunt Shirley (Harold) Gensler
Michael, Kristen, and his family would like to thank Steve Cordon and Anthony and Candice Bukowski for all their help during his battle. It was greatly appreciated.
A memorial service for Michael will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 25th, 2023 at the Fargo Funeral Home, located at 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue in Kaukauna. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.

To the Family of Mike "Mink" Minkebige:
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike.
I will always remember Mike (Mink) as an outstanding human that was always fun to be around! Mike mentored me during my co-op days at AC Spark Plug in Flint, Mi. Mike taught me a great deal about what it meant to be an engineer and a problem solver. My wife Tina and I will never forget the great experiences that we shared with "Minker".
Rest in Peace Mink,
Denny and Tina Hughes
