Michael Lester Moll, a lifelong Utah resident, passed away unexpectedly on December 28th, 2025 at the age of 65. He was born on August 2, 1960, to Donald Dean Moll and Margarete Maxine Hess. Michael—known to many as Mike—was the youngest of five children.
Mike pursued many different careers. At one point, he had owned a furniture business (Innovative) with his wife, Patrice. He worked as a handyman for a short time and was a welder for a time at Utility Trailer. Much of Mike’s working life was spent as a car salesman, a role well-suited for him as he was a natural salesman with his fun loving personality. Mike was very outgoing and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone.
Mike was an excellent cook with a love for spice. He enjoyed making large batches of hearty dishes and felt that if there wasn’t meat involved, it wasn’t a meal. Mike took pride in knowing that his children share that love of good food and flavor.
In his younger years, Mike enjoyed taking on projects. One of his proudest accomplishments was rebuilding a truck, which he affectionately named “Old Whitey”. Mike loved his wife and family. At one point, Mike quit smoking so that he could baptize his son in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his children: Michael Jr., Alicia, Lyndsie, Trevor, Ashley and Joey; his brother Bill and sister, Penny; as well as his six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Patrice (Walker) Moll, who passed away on May 15, 2025; just 7 months and 13 days before his passing. His mother, Margaret Maxine Hess, His father, Donald Dean Moll and two of his older siblings, Sharon (Moll) Trombino and Karl Edward Moll.
There will be a small gathering for family and friends on Monday, January 12th at 5:00 p.m. to come and share their memories of Mike. This will take place at 590 West Antelope Drive Layton, Utah 84041. The family would like to thank Bishop Syndergaard and the Fairfield ward for all of their help and support while experiencing the loss of Patrice and Mike Moll.
