Chris and family.....Mike was (and always will be) a shining star in this galaxy. I've had the privilege of being his friend since our teenage years. Will always remember the "magic shows" up close and personal with his dad and his impeccable manners (even as a teenager!). He had a wonderful sense of humor, wrote grand poems, was always so thoughtful and kind. One of the fondest memories is of his visit to my parents' home one Thanksgiving after moving away and he told us some of the most hilarious stories about bringing little piggies back to life by giving them mouth-to-mouth...Oh, what a visual that was!....He was loved by my family and friends who knew him through all those years. His memory will remain in our hearts...He definitely left his mark on this old imperfect world. Love and prayers for you all, Karen (Schmidt)& Bob Easton

MIKE IS GONE, BUT NOT FORGOTTEN, HE WAS A NICE GUY WITH A SMILE ON HIS FACE EVERYTIME I SAW HIM! HE COULD MAKE ANYONE SMILE:). MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH CHRIS AND FAMILY, THE LOSS OF MIKE, IS GOD'S GAIN. MAY GOD BE WITH US ALL HERE ON EARTH, AND HELP US THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME. MY MEMORIES OF MIKE ARE WHEN CHRIS AND MIKE VISITED MOM AND DAD, IN AZ. WE HAD A FUN TIME, LAUGHING AND JOKING. GOOD TIMES! I KNOW ONE DAY WE WILL SEE HIM AGAIN IN HEAVEN. WE WILL MISS YOU. GOD BLESS... JODI WEBSTER MCCALLON UPLAND CA.

What a sad surprise to hear Mike is gone. We lived just across the tree farm from him and Chris. His boys baby sat our chicken farm on occasion. Although our paths usually went different ways his friendly wave most evenings as he commuted home up Jones road was always a welcome sight. God must have needed to refurbish some apartments in Heaven. He was the man for the job.

I went to school with Mike from the first grade. We lived on the same block and became fast friends. Our friendship continued through our graduation at Ft. Lauderdale High Scool in 1965. Mike earned the following awards while at FLHS. Superlative 4, Most Dependable, Class Board 4, Vice President of the Senior Class, Wheel Club 3&4....Mike then continued at UF where me met Chris...He spoke to me about her and was totally taken by her charm and beauty. It was my pleasure to have him as my "Best Man" at our wedding. We will always think of him as everyone's "Best Man". My early years are flooded with stories about Mike and what a dedicated individual he was. We were in scouts together and his dad was always involved. Great times to always be remembered. Our thoughts and love are extended to Chris and her family.

Our hearts are full of special memories of Mike. He first became a brother to us when he was just an apprentice in the IBEW #728 program in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Our lives became more than just co-workers as the years passed; a true brotherhood grew. When work in the east became bleak, it was Mike that blazed the trail west to find work in Longview, WA. Following his lead, our families became very close as we raised our children so very far from "home". Mike was a dear friend, "road buddy",and a brother in every sense of the word.

Mike's humor through the years was a special gift to all who was around him! Even in his illness, he used it to ease the tension, such as referring to his condition as "mad cow diease" when it was unsure what was wrong. We still see him walking down the hall of the hospital in their "cute" gowns asking Ron,
"got my back?" Just as they always had each other's back, it was always covered!

Our lives have been blessed with the love and humor of Michael Morang. We thank God for the honor of having such a wonderful Brother!
We love you,
Ron & Barb Sampson, Kalama, WA

Chris and family, Michael was such a joy to be around. I heard one sided phone calls between Scott and Mike and could see Scott laugh until the tears ran down his cheeks. They had a special bond and I know they are together again. I don't think Heaven is ready for the two of them..with much love Bev

Chris and family, Mike was a very special man. he had alot of friends here at the school district that will miss him very much. Everyday I hear stories of how Deam and Mike were so special and never faltered when it came to doing their job. Its sad when I think that the world has lost to very special men in such a short time. The weeks and months ahead will be filled with sad and lonely times. But special memories of your life with Mike will fill those gaps. I believe that he is in a better place, and can enjoy his life painfree and in the pressence of others who also have missed him. Take care of yourself and surround yourself with those who love you. I can't say it will be better soon, but it gets better.
Keep in touch.

Love Ya, Carolyn

You will always remain in my heart. Thanks for everything, Pink Grandpa! And to Chris, Mike Jr, Matt, Heather, and Jake, I send you my prayers for peace. Though his body is at rest, his spirit carries on enduringly. He grew 'em tough and the grandkids are no exception. I see his light shine through their eyes every day and am thankful that they were blessed with such a wonderful family!

My brother really was (and still is) a very special guy. I have no real words...just regret that the physical distance that separated us hindered me from sharing in his life and the lives of Chris and the kids more. The memories I hold on to are indeed precious to me and difficult just now to share. He left a legacy of children and an enduring marriage and that is awesome. Simply put Mike was (and is) my hero. Mike, I can't wait to see you again.
