Michael Ely Scott Muniz, age 57, passed away on January 29, 2026. He was born on December 9, 1968, at Ashdown Hospital in Little River County, Arkansas.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at Calvary Chapel Fort Worth, 5617 Diamond Oaks Dr S, Haltom City, Texas 76117, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and honor his life. A small reception will follow at 4:30 p.m. at the family home, 5416 Ridge View Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76137.
Michael married the love of his life, Julie Aurora Tecson, on December 17, 2002, and together they built a life centered on faith, devotion, and family. He found joy in the simple and meaningful things—especially fishing and photography—hobbies that reflected his patient spirit and his appreciation for God’s creation.
He was the founder and owner of Alpha Delivery, a courier business he built through hard work, integrity, and dedication to serving others. Michael took great pride in his company and in the relationships he formed with customers and colleagues over the years. His strong work ethic and commitment to doing things the right way were a reflection of the man he was.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Florene Branson Crawford and Tommy Crawford.
Michael is lovingly remembered by his wife, Julie Muniz; his son, Adam Muniz; his daughter, Lorie Arnold and her husband Heath Arnold; his mother, LaJuana Jean Ely Muniz; and his sisters, LaJuana Stickney and Tonna Kay Broomfield. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends whose lives were blessed by knowing him.
Michael’s legacy will live on through the love he gave so freely, the kindness he showed, and the memories he created with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
