Met Mike at MP officers basic at Fort McClellan, Alabama. Kind, warm, hilarious and smart guy. My best memories were the evenings spent with him, Joe P and Rick H at their apt and at the Anniston hotspots. He was one of a kind and made a lasting impression on me in my own journeys. RIP brother

Mike and I were each other's first boyfriend/girlfriend at ages 14 and 15. He made me laugh, walked me home from school and carried my books. Called me every night at 9:30 sharp. Invited me to an America concert at West Point while he attended. Mike even attended my wedding. We kept in touch to age 59 and 60 when Mike was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I will miss you my friend (as I have for the past 7 years). Mike, you will live in my heart until my last breath.
